Breed Bonanza

Whose lucky day will it be? Come one, come all! Bring your best for an under saddle class highlighting a wide variety of breeds and disciplines in our Breed Bonanza, sponsored by Blue Seal! This unique under saddle rail class will showcase all three gaits (or equivalent for gaited horses) in both directions. A carefully curated panel of three judges consisting of a breeder, a horse show judge, and a professional trainer, will bring their unique backgrounds and perspectives to the ring as they select and crown the inaugural Breed Bonanza winner.
The winner will be selected based on quality of gaits, horsemanship, and turnout. We are looking for the standout horse and rider combination who epitomize the cream of the crop.
the class
The class will be divided into a Youth and Adult section with up to 24 adults and 24 youth (ages 12-18) competitors. The adult and youth sections will each feature up to two classes. The winner of each class will return for the final “Bonanzas” in which the adult and youth winners will be selected and awarded.
Horses and riders will be judged at the walk, jog/trot, and lope/canter (or gait equivalents) in both directions.
The Breed Bonanza is open to all breeds and all under saddle disciplines. Horses and riders should be turned out with show tack and attire in line with the breed/discipline they are representing.
