Adoption Affaire

Exciting opportunities for rescues and sanctuaries to secure current and future adopters for your adoptable horses…

With tens of thousands of horse-people poised to attend the 2020 Equine Affaire in Ohio this spring, there’s no better place to present your horses for adoption or promote your rescue or sanctuary. The Adoption Affaire will be featured within Equine Affaire’s Horse & Farm Exhibits area in the Gilligan Complex, and will provide the perfect opportunity for your adoption candidates to find their forever home.

The Adoption Affaire will include a variety of rescues and sanctuaries with healthy, trained, adoptable horses of a variety of breeds, backgrounds, and ages. Attendees can meet the horses in person and apply to adopt on the spot!

Participating Adoption Affaire Organizations Include:

American Saddlebred Legacy Foundation
Copper Horse Crusade
Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary, Inc.
Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue
Horse Haven of Tennessee

Offering your horses for adoption at the Adoption Affaire
Participating in Adoption Affaire is economical and easy! The rental of a 10 x 10 “Adoption Affaire” stall for $150, also includes:
• One four-day pass to the event (a $50 value)
• An “Adoption Affaire” sign to post on the stall
• A free listing pre-event on equineaffaire.com that will provide the horse’s breed, age, gender, name, discipline, price, photo, and stall location

For added convenience, you may also rent a tack stall next to your “Adoption Affaire” stall(s) for only $100 in order to store your bedding, tack, feed, and other equipment while at the show. Though Equine Affaire is a four-day event, you do not need to occupy your “Adoption Affaire” stall all four days. You simply need to commit to exhibiting your horse for at least two days of the event.

Equine Affaire is proud to partner with the ASPCA to bring the Right Horse Initiative to you at the 2020 Equine Affaire in Ohio. The Right Horse Initiative partners will be bringing horses available for adoption to the Gilligan Complex at Equine Affaire.

The ASPCA is expanding their equine welfare efforts by welcoming The Right Horse Initiative as an official program of the ASPCA. As a program of the ASPCA, the Initiative will remain focused on massively increasing the number of successful horse adoptions in the United States and improving the number of positive outcomes for horses in transition as they move from one home, career, or owner to the next.
