The 11th annual Equine Affaire
in the Northeast will be held at the Eastern States Exposition November 13-16, 2008,
and has something to offer to horse enthusiasts of all ages, all breed persuasions,
all levels of expertise, and all equine disciplines.
Training Clinics
Leading coaches, competitors, and trainers from throughout the
United States will present a full schedule of in-depth clinics on a wide array of equestrian
sports and training techniques at the 2008 event. Clinics will be conducted in the Equine
Network Arena located in the Coliseum, Cimarron Trailers Arena in the Mallary Complex,
and Nutrena Arena in the Young Building.

Seminars
& Demonstrations
Attendees will enjoy four full days of seminars and hands-on
demonstrations at the Seminar Stage located in the Better Living Center and GLC 5500
Demo Ring located in the Mallary Complex. Industry experts will present non-stop sessions
on a wide variety of horse management, health, and training topics relevant to horse
enthusiasts from amateurs to seasoned professionals.
The
Equine Affaire Versatile Horse & Rider Competition
This thrilling competition will be a timed and judged pursuit through an obstacle course
which is created to test the communication between horse and rider as well as each competitor's
horsemanship skills. The Versatile Horse & Rider Competition will return in 2008
on Saturday and Sunday in the Equine Network Arena located in the Coliseum.
The competition is open to adult riders of all disciplines and horses of all breeds.
Julie Goodnight will serve as the special guest commentator for this year's competition,
and participants will compete for thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. Click

Trade Show
Equine Affaire will host the largest trade show of any horse
expo in the East, featuring hundreds of the nation's leading equine-related retailers
and manufacturers. Attendees will be able to browse through acres of equine products
and services ranging from tack, riding apparel, and grooming supplies to farm equipment,
gifts, and books. As always, Equine Affaire will be the best place to shop for
all of your horse-related needs.

Breed Pavilion
The Breed Pavilion in the Stroh Building will feature exhibit
booths and stalls where attendees will be able to see and learn more about a wide variety
of breeds. Individual breeds will be represented by their associations as well as a
rotating cast of selected stallions, mares, and geldings. The Horse & Farm exhibits
area in C-Barn will feature a vast number of stallions, horse breeding farms, and
training facilities.

Arabian Horse Association
Youth Pavilion
Kids and adults are invited to explore a special place for horsey
kids of all ages at the Arabian Horse Association Youth Pavilion. In addition to
educational and horse-related youth association exhibits, the Arabian Horse Association
Youth Pavilion will feature presentations throughout each day by many of the horse industry's
most popular educators, demonstrations of various horse breeds, plenty of fun activities
for kids, and a Stone Horses® Celebrity Horse Showcase. Click

Pfizer Fantasia
The Pfizer Fantasia - A Musical Celebration of the Horse - will
take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings in the Equine Network Arena located
in the Coliseum. It will be a truly dazzling celebration of the horse and something
not to be missed. Be sure to order your tickets early; performances typically sell-out

ARIA Test Center
Equine Affaire is an American Riding Instructors
Association (ARIA) test center.
Testing will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008, at the Eastern States Exposition.

World Championship Blacksmiths
Regional Competition
The World Championship Blacksmiths Regional Competition IV will
again be held in conjunction with Equine Affaire. The results from this event will determine
which one- and two-person teams advance to the National Championship. A judge's clinic
will be held on Thursday, while forging go-rounds will be featured on Friday and live
shoeing go-rounds on Saturday. Don’t miss this chance to be amazed by the craftsmanship
and speed of these top blacksmiths.
